Todd's POV

You know working for the riddler has it's advantages but, somehow I can't see them. Tallia, my twin sister, seems to see them though. From the very beginning of this "plan" I didn't really think that it would work out.
I thought that this guy, um... "The Riddler" would even accept us as pfft henchmen. Tal likes the life of stealing and/or following him and I play along but, I know what we're doing is wrong. I would never admit it but if I was able to her but instead of fighting Batman I would rather side with him. Stupid I know but hey, isn't all of this?
If I had quit when I realized what I was feeling was vulnerability... Tal- Jewl would still be alive.

It was the night that we were instructed to go to the church and bait batman into coming and saving the hostages. We were up above on the bridge of the church while the others waited until ordered to kill the said hostages around town.
I remember asking Jewl, "Who do you think the real enemy is?" She looked at me with a sure expression of concern and sure mastery. She nudged me playfully, smiled, and said, "whatcha worryin' about X? Worried if you're going to die tonight?" She snickered at her dark humor that she picked up earlier on. I shrugged, the seriousness of the situation kicked in. "Hey," jewl caught sight of my look "it's all in good fun ain't it? and besides, if you're too chicken we'll give the signal and leave? How's that sound?" I looked up and smiled "yeah sore."

We ended up waiting for hours it seemed. I swore, wanting some sort of warmth. It was freezing. Jewl told the guys if he didn't come in five minutes they should shoot 'em. I honestly wished the Bat would hurry up. There was a rumor that was sick or something. But I didn't believe it. We headed inside away from the cold.

Four minutes had past and Jewl was getting more impatient. I tried making conversation but she didn't want any of it. She was always discouraged so easily, even as a child. Though also intrigued at the smallest thing. That's why when she had the idea she pretty much dragged me into the plan.

Five minutes. gone. She threatened one more time and was halfway into ordering to kill the first hostage when we saw "The Batman" in the distance. She called it off as we got ready for whatever he had prepared for us. Yet when he got there he almost asked immediately where the hostage was. Jewl had smirked, so I did so as well. We both said the reply the riddler gave us simultaneously:

Questions, Questions Dark Knight. It's you that needs answers, It's us. You answer his riddles and he'll tell you where. You answer his riddles and they don't die.

Our smirks couldn't help but get bigger. It was pretty fun toying with the knight without getting a scratch. Jewl continued, "So, shall we begin?" I started off with the first line and we ended together:

I am an instrument whose music always comes from the heart.
What am I?

We went out of his way as he pushed through and looked around the church. We watched as he figured it out and continued:

Well done.
See? you can do it!
Solve the riddler's carefully constructed conundrums,-

Jewl rolled her eyes. Funny, how she hated how the riddler's narcissism in his words coming from our mouths, yet she has says such things herself.

and we'll tell you where the rest of the hostages are.

The first is in the courtroom.
I suggest you hurry.
He may have been sentenced already.

The bat ran past us already by the time Jewl and I were able to complete the rest. Jewl continued:

Don't get too comfortable, Dark Knight. All through Arkham City, deep, deep undercover
are people who ensure that the Riddler is informed of what the other so-called super-criminals are planning.

He paused in front of the door to listen. I proceeded from there:

Right now, one of them is arranging a little welcoming committee for you outside. Good luck. You'll need it.

We waved goodbye teasingly as we stepped out the back way back on the bridge.
Our part of the job was finished. Riddler was soon to call us. "See was that so hard?" Jewl teased still smiling. I just smiled back replying, "nah".
